Join Us for Our Second Annual "In-House" Shabbaton

Friday, January 30th-Saturday, January 31st

Whether you have an hour or a full day, join the ST community for a meaningful and fun-filled experience of singing, praying, and playing games during our Shabbaton. We have activities for all ages, including a lively Friday night musical service, engaging Jewish learning sessions with guest speakers, community meals, and fun games. Sign up for any and all programs.

Rabbi Paula Mack Drill retired in June 2024 after over 20 years as the rabbi of Orangetown Jewish Center. Ordained by JTS in 2004 after a career in social work, she is also a certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor. She now serves quarter-time as Rabbi-in-Residence at Congregation Agudath Israel in Caldwell, NJ, mentors JTS Mekhinah students, and delights in being a Bubbe to her grandchildren.

Rabbi Jaymee Alpert is the creator of Neshama Body and Soul, integrating physical practice with Jewish prayer and wisdom. An ordained JTS rabbi with over 20 years of congregational experience, she also serves on the boards of Lilith Magazine and RUACH and is a certified life coach and fitness trainer.

The Bible Players are a comedy team that are Improv-ing Jewish Lives. Since 2011 they have performed in 35 states, visiting hundreds of schools, synagogues, camps, and more. From plays, to stand-up shows, to training workshops, they use improv and comedy to teach Jewish values/midot.

important information

  • Our Shabbaton is geared for all ages! Activities will be offered on Friday evening and throughout Saturday for adults, children, and families.
  • Please wear comfortable clothes to Saturday morning Shabbat services. The Neshama: Body, and Soul Musaf service will be for all. Bring a yoga mat if you have one!
